Welcome to read the terms of use of COLANOVELS. These terms constitute an agreement between you and the entity providing you with the COLANOVELS service ("COLANOVELS", "we" or "the Company").

1. Service

COLANOVELS (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") is a personalized service that provides, recommends and helps you discover digital content, long-form novels, short stories and other digital content (collectively referred to as "Digital Content"), as well as other services provided in this agreement. If you are under 18 years old or have not reached the legal age of adulthood in your region, you must use this service with the participation of your parents or guardians. As part of the service, we will personalize content and functions based on your preferences, including showing you recommendations for digital content, features and services that you may be interested in. We are also committed to continuously improving the service and your experience using it.

1. Subscription/Membership

The benefits and prices of subscriptions (sometimes also referred to as memberships), subscription services, the range of subscription digital content available, and the specific content accessible through subscription services may change over time and by location without prior notice (unless otherwise required by applicable law). Unless otherwise stated, any price changes will take effect from the next subscription period. If you do not agree with the subscription changes, you can cancel your subscription (please refer to "Cancellation" below).

1. Cancellation of Subscription/Membership

If you directly registered for the subscription service through us, you can cancel at any time by visiting "Your Account" and adjusting your membership settings, contacting our customer service, or using any cancellation form we provide. If you cancel your membership, your account will be automatically closed at the end of the current billing cycle. To view the time your account will be closed, click on "Billing Details" on the "Account" page. If you registered for COLANOVELS using a third-party account as your payment method and wish to cancel your COLANOVELS membership, you may need to do so through that third party, such as visiting your account on that third party and turning off auto-renewal, or canceling the COLANOVELS service through that third party.

1. Payment Method

If you register for a digital subscription service or membership through us and we charge you, the following terms regarding charges will apply to your subscription service or membership:

If we are unable to process your payment using the payment method you specified, we reserve the right to charge you using any payment method you have on file with us.

If you purchase a subscription service or start a free trial of a subscription service, your subscription service will automatically renew, and you authorize us (unless otherwise required by applicable law, no further notice is needed) to charge you using any payment method you have on file with us for the then-applicable periodic subscription fee, including any taxes.

Unless you notify us before the charge that you wish to cancel your subscription or do not want it to automatically renew, you understand that your subscription service will automatically renew and authorize us (unless otherwise required by applicable law, no further notice is needed) to charge you using any payment method you have on file with us for the then-applicable periodic subscription fee, including any taxes.

If all the payment methods you have on file with us refuse to pay your subscription fee, your subscription service will be cancelled, unless you provide us with a new payment method. If you provide us with a new payment method and the charge is successfully processed before your subscription is cancelled, your new subscription period will start from the original billing date, not the date of successful charge. You can update your designated payment method through "Your Account" settings.

If you register for a subscription through a third party and we do not charge you directly, then your subscription or membership will be subject to the billing terms provided by the third party.

1. Promotional Trial Use

From time to time, we may offer various trial or promotional membership qualifications to eligible customers. These membership qualifications are subject to this agreement, unless otherwise specified in the promotional offer. We reserve the right to determine your eligibility at our sole discretion. Trial members may choose not to continue as paid members at the end of the trial period through your account.

1. General Restrictions

You may not:

Transfer, copy or display the digital content except as permitted by this agreement.

Sell, rent, lend, distribute or broadcast any rights to the digital content.

Remove any proprietary notices or labels from the digital content.

Attempt to disable, circumvent, modify, damage or otherwise avoid any digital rights management or other content protection systems used as part of the service.

Use the service or digital content for any commercial or illegal purpose.

1. Supplementary Clauses

a. Termination

We may, at our sole discretion, terminate your access to the Service, including any subscriptions provided as part of the Service (unless otherwise required by applicable law), without notice. If we do so, we will refund your subscription fees pro rata (if any); however, if you violate any terms of this Agreement, your rights under this Agreement will automatically terminate without notice, and COLANOVELS may, at its sole discretion, immediately revoke your access to the Service and digital content, and no refund will be made. In such a case, you must delete all copies of the digital content you have downloaded.

b. Exposure to Content

While using the Service, you may encounter content that is offensive, indecent, or otherwise objectionable; such content may be marked as containing explicit language or other attributes, or it may not be marked. However, you agree to use the Service at your own risk, and COLANOVELS is not responsible for any content. The type, genre, category, and description of content are provided for convenience only, and COLANOVELS does not guarantee their accuracy.

c. Communications

We may communicate with you electronically by sending promotional messages or other forms of communication, which may include emails, push notifications, or posting messages in your message center. You hereby consent to receiving such communications (unless you are a customer from the UK, the EU, Turkey, or Brazil, in which case you must separately decide whether you wish to receive these communications). These communications will be in accordance with the COLANOVELS Privacy Policy of the digital content market you use. To stop receiving marketing communications from COLANOVELS, please update your marketing communication preferences in your account.

d. Updates and Modifications to the Service

COLANOVELS may from time to time modify the Service (including any subscriptions) and any digital content to (i) improve existing features or add new features and/or functionalities, (ii) enhance or maintain the user experience, (iii) for operational or technical reasons, (iv) to support the maintenance of the quality and quantity of content included in the Service, or (v) for legal or security reasons. If you are located in the EU or the UK (or as otherwise required by applicable law), and such changes have a significant adverse impact on the availability of the Service ("Material Changes"):

We will notify you of the scope, timing, and reasons for the changes at least 30 days before they take effect via email or other electronic communication.

You may also cancel the Service within 30 days after the Material Changes take effect. If applicable, we will provide you with a pro rata refund based on the fees you have paid during your membership billing cycle.

COLANOVELS reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Service or any part of it at any time without notice (unless otherwise required by applicable law or as otherwise provided above), and COLANOVELS will not be liable to you for any impact on your ability to use digital content.

e. Amendments

COLANOVELS reserves the right to amend this Agreement at any time for legal or regulatory reasons; for security considerations; to enhance existing features or add new features to the Service; to reflect technological advancements; to make reasonable technical adjustments to the Service; and to ensure the continued operability of the Service. Amendments will be published on the website related to the Service or in your digital content market. You may reject these changes by canceling your membership at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, your continued use of the Service or software after any changes will constitute your acceptance of those changes. However, any increase in subscription fees will not apply until your subscription is renewed.

f. Rights Reserved; Waiver

The Service and digital content contain intellectual property rights protected by law. The copyright owner of the digital content is an intended third-party beneficiary of this agreement. Our failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of this agreement by you shall not be construed as a waiver of any of our rights.

g. Disputes/Terms of Use

Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this agreement or the service is subject to the governing law, disclaimers, liability limitations, dispute resolution, and class action waiver (if applicable) and all other terms in the COLANOVELS Terms of Use for your digital content market. Your use of the service represents your agreement to these terms on behalf of yourself and your family members and other persons using your account to access the service. You may also have certain consumer protection rights under the laws of your jurisdiction.

h. Severability

If any provision or condition of this agreement is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision or condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions or conditions.

1. Choice of Law and Dispute Resolution

You agree and confirm that these terms shall be governed solely by the laws of Hong Kong, which apply to contracts made and performed in Hong Kong, regardless of any conflict of laws principles. You and COLANOVELS agree that any disputes, claims or controversies arising out of or in connection with these terms or your relationship with COLANOVELS (whether based on contract, tort, fraud, misrepresentation or any other legal theory, and regardless of whether such claims are asserted during or after the termination of these terms) shall be resolved through binding and mandatory arbitration.
